Allan Bloom Hybrd

Common name:Allan Bloom Hybrd
Botanical name:Achillea 'Moonshine'

Long, straight stems with pale yellow flowers are apparent on the mats of green to grey-green leaves of this plant, which are flatter and less divided than those of the Achillea millefolium. The yarrow propagate easily from rooted cuttings or division, which should be performed in the early spring or fall. Following bloom, one should dead head the plant and divide the clumps when it appears crowded.

Purple Iceplant

Common name:Purple Iceplant
Botanical name:Drosanthemum hispidum

Purple Iceplant gets larger than some other varieties, to 2' tall. However, it is not a good erosion control plant because it is not a good root downer. Flowers are dark purple and striking.

Scarlet Trumpet Vine

Common name:Scarlet Trumpet Vine
Botanical name:Distictis buccinatoria

This evergreen vine is highlighted by large, blood red, trumpet-shaped flowers with a yellow throat. These flowers will continue to appear throughout the warm months.

California Black Oak

Common name:California Black Oak
Botanical name:Quercus kelloggii

The California Black Oak is a deciduous tree that grows 20'-60' tall. It has sharply lobed leaves which turn yellow to orange in the fall. The Black Oak is a California native, is drought tolerant, and attracts butterflies. -Cornflower Farms
